  • Each member donates $100 per meeting ($300 per year).
  • The donations will be given to charities/non-profits/worthy causes serving locally in the Chelsea, Michigan area.
  • Only officially-designated 501(c)3 non-profits will be considered for an award. All charities/non-profits/worthy causes must be nominated by individual members at the meeting.
  • No national programs will be considered because the mission is for 100% of the contributions to stay in the local community.
  • Charities must be nominated by a member in good standing and pre-qualified by an official representative of the organization. At each meeting, three of the nominated charities will be chosen at random for consideration.
  • A representative of each of the three chosen non-profits which are drawn will be given five minutes to make a presentation.
  • The membership will vote and majority rules. Even if a member’s first choice isn’t selected, each member is committed to donating to the selected charity at each meeting.
  • Members unable to attend will give their checks to other members to deliver to the meeting on their behalf, eliminating the need to contact people afterward. The checks will be considered proxy votes.
  • Chosen charities are not eligible to be presented again for a period of 2 years.
  • The non-profits presented, but not selected, may be put back in the drawing after a waiting period. All non-profits nominated for consideration must agree TO NOT USE THE NAMES of members for future solicitations or give the information to the public. If the beneficiary of the donations does not adhere to this condition, it will be removed from any future consideration.
