100 Women Who Care - Chelsea Area selected Many Hands Community as the recipient of the organization's October 2026 Impact Award, resulting in a charitable gift of $12,200 to support the nonprofit's mission.

The award was announced following the group's October Impact Award meeting at the Chelsea Depot, where members gathered to hear presentations from local nonprofit organizations and cast their votes. Many Hands Community was chosen to receive the collective donation.

Many Hands Community provides a safe, meaningful, connected life filled with enriching activities and learning opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, all within a cooperative residential setting that prepares the next generation of service professionals.

The October award continues the impact of the local giving circle, which has raised more than $231,000 in member donations and matching gifts for area nonprofits.

100 Women Who Care - Chelsea Area brings women together three times annually to support local charitable organizations through collective giving. The group supports nonprofits serving Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester, Stockbridge, and neighboring townships.

The volunteer-run organization is part of a growing network of giving circles that leverage individual donations to create significant community impact. One hundred percent of member donations are directed to the nonprofit organizations selected by the membership.
